Well you all know how my last semester has been going. But thankfully it is almost over. I graduate on Saturday, December 10th. I am very excited, the only downfall is that I still have exams the next few days after graduation but I will be done with school. Well for alittle while that is. I think back at this crazy semester and I can just thank god I finished without having a major nervous breakdown. It was a very busy semester with tons of papers. I did get my capstone paper done and can say with great happiness, 92%. Also to add to my 6 courses I have been looking for a house and a new job.
Well out of my 3 goals, I have completed 2 of them. I will graduate and I have a new and exciting job. I am working at Gentiva Health services. If anyone is intrested it is www.gentiva.com It is basically a PT/OT home program, but I will be in my own office!
Brock and I are looking for a house now, its really hard because we think we fell in love with a home then something changes. We fell in love with this house in downtown GR but after my dad saw it we found some big problems. we always new the yard was really small, and I mean small! But the bathroom wall needed to be replaced and so did all the windows in the house. Now it might not seem like a whole lot but I think its more than we are prepared to take on right now. So on Sunday I am going to go look at a house that is only 12 years old, I am alittle nervous but we will see. Also there a few homes that are brand new we might look into too. The only problem with that is the start up costs of all the appliences. So when we find the right house we will know.....
So as far as everything else. Roco is doing good. After his Spinich fit after Thanksgiving that is. He is full grown at 58 lbs. Far less than our orginal thoughts. Louie and Claudia are still adjusting to him but I think Louie is better off.
Lets see, any news with Kenny. There will be a cruise in the carribean with Kenny chesney. I wish I could go but to say I am still a broke college kid I don't think that will be happening. Even though I wish it was!

Has it been that long?

Anyways, I have been so busy lately I haven't been able to post anything in awhile. Brock and I have been working many hours lately plus my school thing doesn't make time slow down any. But only 2 months left and I will be done, well for alittle while atleast.
Last weekend was Kristin & Brandon's Wedding (The Churchman's). The service was at Holy Parish Church in GR on Lk Michigan Drive and the reception was at The Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville. We all had such a great time. Brock was the Best man in the Wedding so we were there for the whole "thing". It was a beautiful fall day and the weather was picture perfect. I will hopefully have pictures up soon! I think the highlight of the dancing portion was Brock and I doing the Aligator. What a sight to see!!!!!!
This weekend Steve (My Bro) is playing at Jenison so on Saturday the rents are coming up, we will do some shopping and then for dinner. It should be fun. Sunday is football day for Brock and for me its time to take care of business on regards to my capstone paper as well as my presentation in death and dying. I know pretty ugly subject!
The job hunt for myself is going....For those of you know its going actually really well. I will hopefully have awesome news in the weeks to come.
Not much else is happening here. I have to go and get ready for work in a few mins. Oh what fun on a friday night!!!

Monday Fun?

All I can say is the past few days have been very busy! Last week Marie and Abbey helped me finish the Race for the Cure Shirts, well I do admit Abbey did the majority of the work. She designed an awesome design of the Shining Pink Stars. Then Thursday night consisted of many hours of ironing the logo's on the shirts. Friday was another busy day running around GR trying to get everything done that needed to be done for the Race and other wifely duties. We then (18 of us) went out to Macronni Grill for dinner. It was an awesome and yummy dinner. I had chicken scallopine with fried calamarai for a starter with good salad and bread. I also had a ulimate leaning belleni. And for dessert Brock and I shared the turtle cheesecake. After my meal it was a good thing that i was walking a 5K the next am. The next day was Race for the cure. And all I can say about that was organized chaos. It was the largest event ever, almost 15,000 people. But it was a blast to honor my mom. The next day Brock and stayed at home, did some laundry, slept, watched football and relaxed!
Today I had work and class. I should be studying for my applied phys. quiz but instead I am writting all of you. I also emailed the Oprah show and how I would love to meet Kenny Chesney. Now I just need to send in a vido tape! We will see what that brings....More to come
I will be adding pics to webshots soon of the race

Saturday...I am at work

It is a saturday afternoon and where am I? I am at Spectrum Blodgett Orthopedics. Yea thats exciting. Besides working alot I have been incredibly busy, like most of you already know. School started almost 2 weeks ago and I think my classes are going well, it still hard to tell since its early in the semester. We got back on Wednesday night from Florida and it was fun, hot but fun. It started Thursday night when we drove down to our parents house since it is part way to Chicago and watched some tv and dropped Roco off at the Nye Residents. The next morning we headed off to Midway Aiport and we got very lucky since we didn't hit any traffic we made it there in 1 hour and 40 mins. INCREDIBLE! So then we went to the terminal and relaxed. When we got to Orlando We had some time to kill before the shuttle picked us up so we did some shopping and ate some chick fil a. (One of my fav resturants) When we got to The Villages we had pizza hit the hot tub and enjoyed our time in florida. But the one downside when we got there was Central Florida for the most part was really low or completly out of gas. So our trip to Tampa was cancelled:( but Matt and Melissa thankfully drove from Tampa to see us for a few days, we then all hit the pool, got some dinner and had fun. The next day there was a golf cart parade with over 3500 golf carts, let me tell ya it was crazy, so many golf carts. And not all the golf carts were regular carts, Oh no there were Hummers, caddies, you name it. There were even spinners! But we all got really sun burnt and then headed off to dinner at RJ Gators. That night we took a swim in the pool and Matt and Melissa took off back home. The next day Matt suprised tina by coming down to Florida and the next days we just sat back swam, drank and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Oh its so nice to go on vacation.
So now I am back at work working 3 12 hours shifts and 1- 8 hour shift in 4 days, I am very tierd!

Last Friday of Freedom:(

It is the last friday of my official summer break and on Monday classes start:( I am going to be taking a pretty heavy class load this semester, 18 credits! I know I am alittle crazy but I didn't want to just to have 1 class to take in the winter semester. So my last semester at GVSU is going to be filled with long hours of studying at eihter Kirkoff center, downtown or one of my fav. coffee houses. But hey I will be done and Brock and I can ser. look at buying a house around here. We have found a few we really like but since we need to wait......
Today is also a positive day. In a week we will be leaving for Florida. Super excited. We don't have many plans fig. out for when we get down there. Just sit back and enjoy the sun. We are going to a water park one day with Matt and Melissa, and I know Brock and I are very happy that we get a chance to meet up with them while we are down there.
One last thing. The Race for the Cure is September 24th at the Rivertown Mall. IF anyone is intrested in walking/running the 5K with my team, the shinning pink stars :) please let me know, I would love to have as many people as I can get!

Update on my face

Well its been over a week and finally I am looking and feeling pretty normal again. The past few days have been very frustrating and intresting! I got my splint off and bandages off on Thursday and it started to swell up again that night. At the doc's appt I was told I had a latex burn on my nose but it should go away in a day with some ice. Well that was def. not the case! I woke up Friday morning and my face was extremely swollen and rashed. My eyes were the worst part and I know I didn't have surgery on my eyes but they did tape my eyes closed during the long surgery. Which now I look back and relize why. When I woke from surgery my eyes were sooo itchy and I couldn't open them for a few hours without some help. Well back to my story. So Friday I spent the lovely day icing and re icing my face while taking bendryl every 4 hours. So I slept most of the day but very broken sleep! The swelling and rashed just cont to get worse. On Saturday Morning I woke up with my eyes swollen shut! I could barely see anything. So I called my primary care doc so I could get permission to go to Urgent care. It only took over an hour and half to get a call back and let me say I was not in good shape by that point. We then arrived at Grandville Urgent care and they rushed me back for an assesment. I then got a nice shot in my hip of Solu-Medrol, which is a very high dose steriod. I also got a prescription of Allergra and more Predisone (more steriods) The swelling went down alittle but in a few hours. But I had a bridal shower to go to. So I went looking alittle funny. After the shower we went over to Kristin and Brandon's house for a bbq. It was alot of fun but since I couldn't play volleyball I sat on the deck for awhile until the bee's came out then I headed inside since I didn't want to get stung. (I am dealthly allergic to bee stings) By the time we got home last night the swelling was down but still rashy. And this morning I am looking like normal well sort of. It looks like I got a nsty sunburn but other than that I am good. My nose looks really nice and I can't believe how well I am breathing already!
So let me get back to the HMO part of my story or a rant and a rave. I hate HMO's whoever thought about getting permission to go to Urgent care or the ER is stupid. I understand if the doctor is in office but if its the middle of the night or the weekend you should be able just to go on in if its let say an allergic reaction. My first reaction a few weeks ago it took the doctor over 2 hours to call back and this time it was over an hour and half. If the doctor is on call they should answer their cell phone, beeper or whatever. It just makes me mad when I am having a severe allergic reaction I have to wait for the doc to say its ok to get treatment. Stupid insurance companies.

Surgery

Well I am on post op day 2 of my nose, nasal and sinus surgery. Overall everything went very well! I stayed 1 night in the hospital and I think that did me a world of good. While I was there I was given IV morphine, which was great for the pain plus iv fluids, antibiotics and antiinflamitories to keep the swelling down. I am alittle bruised mostly under my eyes but they are not as bad as I thought they would be. I am very anxious to see how I will look overall but I have to wait a few weeks to get the splints off. So surgery went well and I am at home resting. I leave for stevensville later tonight so my mom can be with me while brock is at work. I will be coming back to GR on wednesday night since i have a docs appt thursday. There weren't any real bad complications besides I had a nasty fever coming out of surgery so I was extremely warm and I think that was the worst of it. I also had to have packing put in my nose after the surgery and yesterday the doc took them out. The best way I can explain it is that the cotton goes all the way up to your sinus so when they take them out they don't numb you at all just take some forceps and pull hard. It felt like they were ripping my brains out but the good thing was after they were out I felt so much better since my nose was more open. Other than that, everything on the home front is going good. School is offically over and I can't be happier. But i do have a hard last semester coming in about 2 weeks.

Ouch! Only 4 hours of sleep:(

I am very very tierd right now! After working all day yesterday I decided to go out last night. We started off the night at Lori's drinking Sangaria, and I forgot how much that makes you feel loopy! After about 5 glasses we all headed out to the Black Rose for some more drinks. We all had a lot of fun and many many drinks. From the work crew it was Lori, Me, Michelle and Melissa and then brock joined us for the fun & a few of lori's friends. I then went to bed a little past 2 am and was up at 6 to make it to work! So I sit here really tierd, wanting to go back to bed more than anyone can possible know and yet I have 8 more hours of work. Oh well, I get to go home and take an a nap and wake up and study for some exciting final exams!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tblanchard.blogspot.com/2005/08/ouch-only-4-hours-of-sleep.html' title='Ouch! Needless to say we aren't very busy! I do however have some studying to do, since exams are next week. Not much has been going on in GR area latley. Thursday night after my 2nd allergic reaction Brock and I headed downt to Founders to meet up with Abbey, Mac, Kevin, Kevin, Grant and marie. We did have much fun and I was once again DD but when you are taking high doses of benedryl every few hours I do not think that drinking beer would be a good thing. I did however enjoy my coke and pretzels with Asiago cheese, yum! Yesterday I thought was going to be busier than it actually was. I was suppose to have a doctors appt at 1:45 but my Doc got called into emergency surgery. So then I headed off to see Brock for lunch at LMCU. We did enjoy our ham sandwiches and granola bars. I then headed off to Target to get some things for around the house. After Brock got off work we headed to Linens and Things, we got a anniversy gift card in the mail from family so we spulrged! We bought a set of 600 count sateen sheets for the bed. They are remarkable! SO SOFT:) We had dinner and just did some laundry, I know we are pretty boring!
So now I am work working 7 am -7 pm and then going out tonight~ I then have to be back at work tomorrow at 7 am to work till 3 pm. Not much else is happening around here, but I do have to talk about a hotel I found in Chicago.
Its Hotel Monoco and its downtown. The cool thing is they are a pet friendly hotel and if you tell them the get the room ready with a litter box, bedding, toys and treats for either your cat or dogs. I do admit that I do not plan on taking Roco to a hotel in Chicago, he isn't that trained and if I am taking a romantic weekend with my husband, the dog would stay at Grandma's:) If I do miss my pets from home they have a replacement pets, you can get a pet goldfish with a tank in your room and they take care of everything for you. They also have a few fun suites such as Rock like a rock star with animal print everything. They also have the regular suites with 2 person fugi whirpool tubs! I am very excited because we might stay there for my birthday weekend...
check it out http://www.monaco-chicago.com/
So I guess that does it for now! talk to ya soon peeps!

August is Finally here!

The first thing I would have to say is that I am so sorry I haven't posted in awhile! Between everything from Brock's new job, school and our summer plans I have lost track of time, once again! So let me see if I can get you updated on whats been going on here. Brock started his new job on Monday and so far he really does like it, however he hasn't got into the job portion to much, but that will come soon. School is wrapping up in the last week and half and my surgery is know just over a week away!
Brock and I are still looking at the possibility of getting a house soon, probably not till atleast December or April. We have found some cute houses in the Jenison area that we like and we can just hope that some nice houses will be available in the winter.
I have finally come to the conclussion that taking 6 courses in the summer all at once was probably a big mistake, but the good thing that came out of it was that I will be done in December now! I also just found out that GVSU will be adding a advanced nursing program which means if you have a degree already (which I will have, BS in Health Sciences) then you can do 3 semesters of nursing training that is very intense and busy instead of the normal 5 semesters to complete the program. This also allows for more spots to be filled in the nursing program. I am not really looking at that yet anways, i would like to work for awhile and do some traveling. Plus I think I am alittle burnt out right now.
The home front is going strong. Roco is getting very big and very hyper too. But I just have to remind myself that he is indeed a puppy. He does go to the vet on monday to have a certaing surgery. My little boy is growing up:)
My Mom is doing well, she started her 7 weeks of chemo/radiation last week so we are nearing the end hopefully. On Sunday it was a fun fill trip down to Holland. For both of our dads we rented a powerboat on lake michigan with skis and tubes. However our day had many bumps in the sea. It started at Subway when I went to go get some sandwhichs for lunch for everyone on the boat, but the guy ahead of my ordered 32 footlongs subs and my 10 minute trip to subway turned into a 35 min trip. Any hoo, who orders 32 subs, why don't you call it in?!!!
We then arrived in Holland and it was 3 pm however we didnt get on the boat till 3:30. We started off in the little lake and headed out to the big lake when our boat broke. How fun is that. The people before us blew the choke out and never told them, probably to save their butts. After that we discussed with the owners about what we should do since all the boats were rented. We were just about to leave when another boat came back early so after that was all finished, cleaned and fueled up we took that one out. It started to be alot of fun, Brock, Tina and I all went tubing but like I said the water was very wavy and bumpy. After tubing we were cruising along when Brock's dad hit a huge wave and we almost all flew out of the boat. Brock grabbed Kim since she was in the air going out the backside and I got her legs but she did have a nasty head bump. Since the water was so choppy Brock and I headed back in. The rest of the night the other 6 just cuised up and down Holland's pier and stayed in the small lake. In all and all it was alot of fun, now my parents are taking about getting a boat for next summer:)
Last night Brock and I went to see Bad News Bears, it was funny but it was def. more of a guy movie. After the movie I broke out into a rash so Brock and I headed out to the ER at Blodgett, its funny I can't stay away from my work. It ended up to be an allergic reaction to something but we can't figure out what it was. I got some meds and went home around 3:30 am. But I really do feel sorry for Brock since he had to be up at 7:30 to go to work. I started to freak out since I had my micro lab final and I have been sleeping the majority of the day (thank you benedryl) so know I will be taking it on Monday after lecture. All in all I am feeling better.
My surgery is still scheduled for next Friday and I have to say I am quite nervous about it. The surgery will take approx. 6 hours at Butterworth downtown.
For all of you who don't know whats going on, I am having my sinuses cleaned out and re-opened and then they will fix the inside of the deviated septum and the outside of my nose to match up to it. They are also taking the cartialge bump out and 2 out of the 3 turbinates in my nose so I can actually breath normally again. The turbinates are what filters the air and humidifies the air when you breath but in my case they have scar tissue from so many allergy attacks that they are constanly swollen, aka stuffy nose. So all in all I am nervous but I am excited too, maybe I can finally feel better when the allergies get bad.

FINALLY A JOB!

Well today was a very eventful day. It started off early this morning as I headed off to the Labor and Delivery floor at Butterworth. Oh yea I have forgot to mention something
Brock and I are........................NOT HAVING A BABY! I had my nursing rotation in labor and delivery this am. It was a very awesome expierence. I do think that is the field I would be going into some time in the future. Then I got home took a nap and then we got the good news. Lake Michigan Credit Union called and offered Brock a job! Finally after over of a year looking Brock is employeed at a nice place and can say good bye to Mongolian BBQ:) Mad props to that! So he starts August 1st. So needless to say August will be busy with him starting a new job and my surgery. So needless to say the day has been good to us. Maybe our luck is starting to turn around, it has been a long and hard year for the Blanchard/Nye family and to think of it it will be a year on August 1st when all the bad started to roll on down. Maybe its a sign, I don't know. I just know that I am ready for changes, I am ready to grow and become "change. Well Decemeber that will happen when I will be done. So thanks to all of you who were so much emotional support for both Brock and I through this year and plus to all of the friends who we feel like we didn't get the chance to see because of brock's awful scheduling at Mongo. But now it will change, monday -friday 8:30-5:30 and everyother saturday 8-12. Not bad at all! So marie when you can eat "real" food all of us will plan our fondue party, alittle celebration!

YIKES!

Wow! I can't believe the summer is already in mid july. Thats a great and a bad thing, well I love the warm weather but this year has been very hot and sticky and I am taking 6 courses that end August 10th but when classes are all said and done with I still can't enjoy the weather because I get to have my facial and sinus surgery done! In ways I am soooo ready for it but I am very nervious about it too. What will the recovery be and how will I look, ( I know alittle vain) Well anways when all is said and done.........

So this summer has been flying by and I haven't had time to post latley. So you might ask what have I been up too. A whole lot of school thats what! This week I have 3 exams, a huge lab report on EKG and pneumographs, a quiz, a paper plus my unkown work in micro lab. But Over the fourth of July Brock and I headed down to Chicago for 2 days, the first day we went to Naperville for Rib Fest, it was very yummy but ask Brock how the "hot" ribs were! Then that night we took the train into downtown for Taste of Chicago and the Fireworks. I couldn't believe the crowds and the prices. I think it was the worst year yet! For $7 I got a ear of corn and a mountain dew. The fireworks were amazing and unreal, we sat right next to the yacht club on Lake Michigan on Lakeshore Drive. Superb! The walk back to Union Station to head back to Hinsdale was out of this world. More than half of the major streets were closed off because of people walking. I have put this pictures of fireworks and crowds on my webshots. Then the next day Brock and I went to Science and Industy to the Body Worlds Exibit. That was amazing and if anyone gets down there before Sept 5th GO!! It had over 24 whole cadavers and plus many other sections. Plus the prenatal exhit gave me such an understanding of human devlp. So that was that.
Roco has been such a puppy lately. Very chewy and bitty but I think we got the puppy housbreaking thing down. Yippy to that! Now if we can get him to stop eating the kitties poo we will be very happy. Roco has had a hard couple of days, first we took him to the vet for shots, toe nail clippings, and tick medication (Preventive) Plus he has been teething really bad, he is loosing his baby teeth but he likes to eat on ice so it makes it bettter. He weighed in at 38.5 lbs so its looking like he will be around 70-80 lbs full grown, he is very tall!
I don't know if I have anyother information to share,
Brock is still looking for a job and hopefully after that takes effect we can start to sers. look for a house or something but Roco needs a yard thats fenced in.

My Mom is doing really well, she has her last round of chemo next week but then its 7 weeks of rad tx for 5 days a week. Perks to her!

Well all look at my webshots to see pics of everythign that I have posted:)http://community.webshots.com/user/tracyblanchard

Many Congrats to You, Mac and Abbey Fowler

Wow! I think thats the best way I can sum up this past weekend. It all started Thursday when Brock and I headed down to Wabash, IN for Mac and Abbey's wedding festivities. Thursday consisted of setting up the Tool shed for the reception as well as making grass seed bundles to throw (in leau of bubbles) Friday was pretty busy also, the morning we headed off to the salon for nail appts then to the pool to cool down, the high was 97 that day. That night we had rehersal and went to the country club for an amazing greek dinner. YUMMY! We also made the flower arrangments that night as well. Saturday was the big day that Mac and Abbey got married. I believe the high was 105, it was soooo hot but all the hard work was well worth it. It was the most beautiful, nature inspired wedding. Truly came from Abbeys dream. The night was wonderful as we all ate and danced the night away underneath the stars. The night ended with a fireworks display and we aren't taking about wimpy fireworks, we are talking about the real deal, fourth of july fireworks.
So to Mac and Abbey, thank you for allowing me to help you celeberate, may you have many years of even more memorable memories to come. I love ya both!
You can find the pictures at www.webshots.com/tracyblanchard

Long time coming

So I haven't posted in a while! I have been very busy. The summer semester is almost half over! It is a little hard to believe but again I am looking forward to my few week break. Not much has been going on. Abbey and Mac's wedding is next weekend and Brock and I will be heading down to Wabash IN, next Thursday. It should be a lot of fun. We will be dropping Roco off at Grandma N's and I bet you she is very excited about that, he he he. But he does so well with the other 3 dogs, plus he loves the outdoors. So yesterday I went to GP Sports last night to watch the pistons game with Kelly, Dana and everyone else. Since I had a benedryal later in the day I couldn't drink since I would be out like a light, but my coke was very tasty and its cheap!
The next few days are very busy but what is new. I work thurs and friday. Saturday I will be driving to Lansing in the AM to take care of some family duties then the afternoon Abbey has a suprise for me and marie. that night I might be going ring shopping with Kristen. I work a 12 on sunday. Then starts midterms. Isn't GVSU grand!!!

Happy Memorial Weekend

Hey all~
Happy memoiral day, even though I must work since the hospital never closes:) Anwways its been a very busy weekend. Brock and I went down to Stevensville, we had grad parties, graduation and just hanging out with the folks. Also we brought Roco down to play with Allie, Elvis and Casey. It was a fun weekend but also very trying. We all ate some really good food, grad parties are like just a big feast of good ol' food. Plus we had Mrs Pangelians home made egg rolls and then a trip to the Hot Dog Man. It doesn't get much better than that, well maybe if we went to Clementines. (thats for you marie!) Tonight Brock and I are going out for dinner with Kristen and Brandon, I think Heidi and Chris might join us too to Catina and then down to Celebration for the movie Madgascar. It looks funny and we all like the animated movies very much. Brock and I have been looking more into my trip, I think its narrowed down to the Carribean. But I don't know if I want to do a Cruise or a few islands. I am abs in love with St Thomas and st John. We will see. Its just so hard to decide. I do think we will be going either March or April of 2007. Alittle ways awa but then we can save to do some fun things. We are also going to Florida Sept 2-7 to see Matt and Melissa and also Brock's Nana. I am really looking foward to the trip. I am alittle nervous though since I will still be very black and blue from my surgery. Hopefully it won't be too bad and I do have to say I barely bruised last time. So hey theres hope. I really can't think of any new news. Its been very busy with 6 courses and working, but hey its starting to get nice so I will have to move my studying from the coffee house to maybe the pool deck in a swimsuit. That would rock.

Alittle Sappy!

So yesterday was hard and it was a hard day for The Blanchard family. We had to present Beth's Memorial Scholorship at Class night. It was so hard to not see her there, with the cap and gown on. It's hard to believe it's been almost 9 months. In ways, I still don't believe in. I guess i am still in that denial stage of grieving but then out of no where it hits me, like a big smack across the face. And then I cry and cry. But I guess things have been moving foward and in ways I am begining to accept it. It's even harder to image that almost a year ago was the wedding and that point I was thinking about brock and i and what made me happy but not what everyone else was thinking about the day. I so wish I would have asked beth what she was thinking even thou the night before we did some bonding. It is hard for me to think back on last summer and how niave I really was at life. I never would have thought that my first year of marriage would have turned out like it has. Not that its all bad but many obstucles to overcome and many tears to dry. Like I said last night was hard, to see all of her friends graduating and her not being there. Although in some strange ways I did feel her there, her prescence and her love. Maybe it was the love between her friends that I felt or her spirt watching over them. In anyway its resuraing you know. I think this weekend is going to be even harder but it's something that we need to get through to finish up this year and maybe in ways it will help all of us heal. It's graduation and they are presenting Beth's diploma to Brock's parents. Let the tear gates open then.
I really do miss her laugh, her smile, the funny things she said or her incredible sense of style. I just wish I had more time to spend with her, just her and me. To get those little details out. So in all ends I wish I would have done many things differntly and many things I would have kept the same. I just miss her, just like I miss everyone who I lost this year. The days go on and the tears will flow but I know that in ways I will be alright. I just don't know when it will be ok, or if it ever will.

weekend

This weekend was alot of fun! It was Abbey's Bachlorette party in town, hosted by her mom:) We started off with Marie, Marylou and I going shopping for gooodies for the party, c.'s and cucumbers. Don't ask:) On our way back we saw 32 police cars on one street. Why is this you might ask? Well P. Bush came into town for Calvin's grad. Look how excited I am, he he he. Then we ate at the house ( I made Bruchetta) and had a pure romance party. That was a blast. A must have for a bach. party. We also drank mango margarittas and spicked rasberry lemondade. (thats what marie made well and P. cupckakes) Then we headed off to Catina for a good dinner. Back to Abbey's house to watch the Vegas tape of the strip lessons. It was so great for me to watch myself making a fool. We then headed off to THE BOB. I just love that place. so many great memomories. I had a great time with the pool bar and a hard nippie:) I just wouldn't ask if I was you. All I can say is way to many drinks. Brock picked me up and that was the night. I really can't go into details quite yet since abe is still in the dark about the party. She is however having a Sex toy party. :)
News on the home front is about the same. Brock is still doing the whole job search thing and I am in school. The time that we aren't working or at school we are trying to train Roco so if anyone has any wodnerful ideas please let us know.

It's Almost Friday!

So its almost Friday, (yea!) It has been a very long long week. Classes started this week. I am taking 6 classes this semester which is 12 credits. I am going to be very busy this summer but I just need to keep thinking I will be done very soon. Also this week I have been trying to get everything unpacked from the horrific move, thanks everyone who helped! The worse part was that I had to clean the old apartment by myself which really sucked! So everything is looking good I think the only thing left to do is get the office/bedroom lookin good. Maybe only one more year in an apt then off to a house. I do like my new place but I feel very enclosed, but it is nice. Roco is doing good, alittle pain in the butt! Today he put a nice whole in my fav pair of jeans. I wasn't a happy camper at 8 am. (I am not a morning girl) Potty training is going, hopefully he will get the hang of it. We did get potty pads for him, now he just needs to use them. Everything else is going good on the homefront. Mom has gone through her 3rd bad boy chemo today. So only one more session of the really nasty stuff then 2 months of the "weaker" chemo. It is going very good and I am very proud of her!
I did my a really cute skirt last week for Abbey and Mac's Reh dinner. I can't wait to get it out now I just need a shirt to go with it. I guess I will have to go shopping:)

I am dealing with the Kenny and Renee news , I am not the happiest person but hey she's blonde and its a hollywood romance. He is from the Battle Creek Animal Shelter and well he is basicly a mutt. His mom is part rot and german shepard and well we don't know what his dad was. He looks a lot like a rot, but we will see how he gets when he grows up. Right now he is almost 8 weeks old and weighs in just over 10 pounds. What a little bundle of joy! With all the fun that we have I have relized that he is in fact just like a little baby. Cries in the middle of the night, a major poop factory, and is spoiled rotten. Suprisngly Louie and Claudia are doing pretty well with the new change. Still alittle Hesitant but I think they will all be a loving family. So we don't have a new pug in the family yet, but Roco is so much fun!
We took him to the park and played for about 45 mins today, there is a trail and it is just over 1/2 mile long but Roco didn't make it compeltly around so Brock had to carry him the rest of the way. The rest of the time there was laying in the grass under the warm sun.
So the week started with a major change in the way we live and tomorrow we will change it up alittle more. For all of you who don't know, brock and I move to a new smaller apartment! I am very excited. Finally a place that is just ours, no roomates( Besides the 3 animals) and our space to do what we want to! A big change we are very ready for. It is hard to believe that its been almost a year since we have been married.

Vacation time?

So I am here thinking.... where do i want to go on vacation? It is really hard to decide when you can go anywhere in the world. I am leaning towards the carribean. I also think well maybe Hawaii, Europe, Australia, Out West, Out East well I don't know. The islands sounds so nice right now! Warm sunny beaches, crystal clear water. Tropical drinks with those fun little umbralles. Plus maybe I will run into Kenny:) What a perfect vacation that would be! Who knows, brock and I will have a great time anywhere we go. Thank you for allowing to pass! No more biochemistry and physics. I start my new classes on May 9th, and it will be a long summer semester. I am taking human phys with lab, microbiology and lab, nursing 120 and 220. What a busy summer! But I will get through it, then it will be a semester left.
So I move again next week, I am very excited. My apt will be very cute and maybe we will have a pug addition.
